Accolade for Scout Ryan

A scout from Bishop Auckland is the first in his troop to gain an explorer award.
Ryan Bunker, of the 2nd Bishop Auckland Scouts, organised several activities to achieve the award.
To gain the badge he had to show good knowledge of emergency precautions, safety instructions and cook a meal under expedition conditions.
As leader of the Swift Patrol he led pioneering projects, proving his navigation abilities.
While working towards the prize, Ryan also gained the Scout and pathfinder awards, a leadership award and ten proficiency badges.
